EverFad is a wardrobe-cataloging app built and operated by a single independent developer, not a company. This page covers both documents you need before using the app: the Privacy Policy first, the Terms of Service after it.

Privacy Policy

What EverFad collects when you use the app, why, and how to get it deleted.

1. Who we are

EverFad is operated by an individual developer, Gurdev Kaur Sihra, not a registered company. Any reference to “EverFad,” “we,” “us,” or “our” in this policy means that individual. You can reach us at gurdev@everfad.io.

2. Information we collect

We collect three kinds of information: what you give us when you sign up, the wardrobe content you create in the app, and a small amount of information the app collects automatically to keep the service running.

  • Account: Email address, a username you choose, and your sign-in method (password, or a federated sign-in through Google or Apple). We never see or store your password, or your Google/Apple password — authentication is handled by AWS Cognito.

  • Wardrobe content: Photos you capture or upload of your clothing and outfits; item details you enter or that our AI extracts from a photo (name, brand, price, category, material, color, care instructions, notes); collections and packing lists you build; calendar events you create, including a location name and, if you choose to add one, precise coordinates; tags; and the dates you log wearing an item.

  • Automatic: Basic request logs (timestamp, which screen/endpoint was used, your account id) generated as you use the app, kept for debugging and abuse prevention. We redact anything sensitive from these logs before they’re stored.

We do not collect precise device location in the background, and we do not collect advertising identifiers — EverFad doesn’t run ads or third-party trackers.

3. How we use it

  • To run the core features of the app — cataloging your wardrobe, generating packing lists, tracking wear, and using AI to identify items in a photo you take.

  • To keep your account secure and prevent abuse (for example, the per-collection entry limits and request logging described above).

  • To fix bugs and understand how the app is actually used, so we can improve it.

We do not use your photos or wardrobe data to train AI models, and we do not sell your information to anyone, for any reason.

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run EverFad. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job — none of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

  • Amazon Web Services: Account authentication (Cognito), photo storage (S3), the app’s backend (Lambda, API Gateway), and operational logs (CloudWatch). Hosted in the United States (Oregon).

  • Neon: The database that stores your account and wardrobe content. Hosted in the United States (Oregon).

  • OpenRouter: Routes a photo’s description to an AI model when you use the “identify items in this photo” feature, so it can extract items automatically.

  • Google / Apple: Only if you choose to sign in with Google or Apple — they confirm your identity and share your email with us, subject to their own privacy policies.

We’ll also share information if required by law, or to protect the security of the service or its users.

5. Storage & security

Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on AWS and Neon infrastructure in the United States. Photos are stored at addresses that aren’t listed or searchable and are practically impossible to guess — but, as with most cloud-hosted apps, anyone who obtained the exact address could view the image without needing to sign in. We restrict who can write photos to storage to authenticated requests, and database access to the app’s own backend.

No system is perfectly secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security of your information.

6. Retention & deletion

You can delete individual photos, items, collections, and calendar events directly in the app at any time — this permanently removes them from our database.

You can also delete your entire account from the Profile tab in the app. This immediately and permanently deletes your account, your sign-in identity, and everything you’ve stored in EverFad — there’s no recovery period, and it can’t be undone.

7. Your choices

  • Access & correction — everything you’ve entered is visible and editable in the app itself.

  • Deletion — see Section 6.

  • Sign-in method — you choose password, Google, or Apple at signup; this can’t currently be changed after the fact.

8. Children’s privacy

EverFad is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we’ll delete it.

9. International users

EverFad’s infrastructure is located in the United States. If you use the app from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a material way, we’ll update the effective date above and, where required, let you know in the app.

Terms of Service

The rules for using EverFad.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using EverFad, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy above. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

2. The service

EverFad helps you catalog your wardrobe from photos, track what you wear, and plan outfits and packing lists for events. The app is under active, early-stage development — features, and occasionally the shape of your data, may change as it matures.

3. Accounts & eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use EverFad. You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure. Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Your content

You own the photos and wardrobe content you upload. By uploading it, you give us a limited license to store, process, and display it back to you as part of running the app — including sending it to our AI provider (Section 4 of the Privacy Policy) to identify items in a photo. We don’t use it for anything beyond providing the service to you.

Don’t upload photos of anyone who hasn’t consented to being photographed and stored this way, and don’t upload anything illegal, infringing, or that violates someone else’s rights.

5. Acceptable use

  • Don’t attempt to access another user’s account or data.

  • Don’t reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API beyond normal use of the app.

  • Don’t use EverFad to store or share unlawful content.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Third-party sign-in

If you sign in with Google or Apple, your use of their services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies, which we don’t control.

7. Changes & availability

EverFad is provided by an individual developer, not a company with a support team or uptime guarantees. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features — or the service as a whole — at any time, and will try to give reasonable notice for anything major.

8. Disclaimer

EverFad is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. AI-identified items may be inaccurate; always double-check details that matter to you.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EverFad’s operator isn’t liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data or photos. Keep your own backups of anything irreplaceable.

10. Termination

You may stop using EverFad and delete your account at any time (Section 6 of the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
